Police in Peel Region are investigating a series of violent incidents that appear to be linked to meetings arranged through social media. The investigation began after reports of three separate incidents involving strangers who met potential victims under false pretenses.

According to police, the alleged perpetrators met their victims in person and subjected them to violence, stealing their belongings in each case.

First Incident (June 17):
- A 20-year-old woman reported being robbed at gunpoint by two men she met on social media.
- She agreed to meet them in Brampton but was attacked and robbed instead.

Second Incident (June 18):
- A 21-year-old man reported being beaten by two men he met online.
- He had arranged to meet them in Mississauga but was attacked and robbed.

Third Incident (June 19):
- An unidentified male reported being assaulted by two males he believed were acquaintances from social media.
- Police are still searching for this individual’s identity.
Modus Operandi
In each case, the alleged perpetrators used fake profiles or manipulated photos online before meeting their victims. Once at the designated meeting spot, they carried out violent attacks against their unsuspecting targets, stealing valuables and fleeing the scene.
Suspect Descriptions
Police have released composite sketches of four individuals who may be involved in these incidents:
- Suspect 1: Approximately six feet tall with short black hair.
- Suspect 2: Approximately five feet nine inches tall with short brown hair.
- Suspect 3: Described as having long black hair.
- Suspect 4: No known description available due to unclear images captured during the crimes.
