The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) is set to celebrate its 70th season with a diverse range of performances across seven venues. The orchestra will feature 64 concerts under the guidance of 29 conductors, showcasing a wide variety of musical styles and genres.

Alberta in Harmony: The Planets: In May, Calgary Phil teams up with Edmonton Symphony Orchestra to perform Gustav Holst’s iconic work live in surround sound using state-of-the-art technology.

Phil in the Park: The CPO returns to Prince’s Island Park for their annual free outdoor show called “Phil in the Park,” which takes place on September 7. This event is popular among families and music enthusiasts alike.

As Halloween approaches, multiple spooky performances are planned throughout October and November, including:

In addition to these events, Handel’s Messiah will be performed indoors on December 13 at Grace Presbyterian Church and again outdoors on January 17, promising to be a highlight for choral music enthusiasts.
