The 2024-25 Coastal Empire High School Sports Awards show took place at the Johnny Mercer Theatre, recognizing over 300 athletes from the Savannah area across various sports and categories.

  • Overall Winners:
    • Boys Athlete of the Year: Ra’Shawn Truell (New Hampstead)
      • Achievements: Region 1-4A Player of the Year in football with 3,322 yards and 32 touchdowns in nine games.
    • Girls Athlete of the Year: Gianna Brown (New Hampstead)
      • Achievements: Notable performance in four sports; won the Hollis Stacy Award for most versatile female athlete in Savannah for the second consecutive season.
    • Most Outstanding Football Player: Elijah Griffin (Savannah Christian Prep)
      • Achievements: Top-ranked defensive lineman nationally with 53 tackles, including eight-and-a-half sacks; will attend Georgia next fall.
    • Courage Award: Harding Dennis (Savannah Christian Prep)
      • Achievements: Overcame seven facial bone fractures during a flag football game; will attend UGA on a full scholarship starting August 1.
