Denzel Clarke, an outfielder for the Athletics, made a spectacular catch in the first inning of a game against the Angels on Wednesday.
The Catch
- The ball was hit deep into center field by Nolan Schanuel and seemed destined to clear the wall with ease.
- Clarke sprinted towards the wall, climbed up and over it with his glove extended, and snatched the ball from mid-air.
- The force of his jump nearly sent him flying over the outfield wall, but he managed to drop back down to safety.
The Athletic’s broadcasters on site were stunned by Clarke’s impressive grab, which left them speechless.
