Edmonton Police Service homicide detectives have charged two men with first-degree murder in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred in downtown Edmonton on December 8, 2020.

- The incident began when officers responded to a weapons complaint near 109 Street and 109 Avenue at approximately 3 p.m.
- Upon arrival, they found Mahad Bashir Farah shot multiple times after being approached by the accused while walking down the street alone.

- One of the men is also wanted on a Canada-wide warrant related to an Edmonton nightclub shooting in February of this year.
