Gonzaga Secures Commitment from Adam Miller

Gonzaga has landed a commitment from Adam Miller, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard who recently entered the transfer portal. Miller made his decision after visiting Spokane in April, stating he was "kind of sold" on the Bulldogs before his visit.

Background

Miller’s journey to Gonzaga began after Arizona State lost to Gonzaga at the McCarthey Athletic Center five months ago. Following that game, he had the opportunity to play in front of Mark Few’s staff during his visit. Despite struggling with his shooting and committing a turnover that led to Khalif Battle’s memorable dunk in Gonzaga’s 88-80 win, Miller was drawn to the program.

Reasons for Choosing Gonzaga

Miller was attracted to Gonzaga for several reasons:

  • Winning Program: Known for developing players and consistently performing well.
  • Backcourt Reinforcements: The team needed additional support in the backcourt.
  • Coaching Staff: He appreciated the coaching staff’s commitment to their system and their extensive connections within college basketball.

In an interview at the Miami Heat practice facility, Miller expressed his enthusiasm:

"I was kind of sold before I got there. They have a really good coaching staff – they’re all-in on what they want to do – and they have great connections."

Training and Recovery

Since entering the transfer portal, Miller has been training with former NBA player Jalen Rose at Rise Academy in Chicago. He has also been working out with other top prospects, including Marcus Sasser Jr., who transferred from Houston earlier this year.

After suffering an injury that sidelined him last March, which included missing out on NCAA Tournament play with LSU, Adam Miller is now set to join one of college basketball’s top programs next season.

Looking Ahead

Gonzaga will be looking to integrate Adam Miller into their roster, especially after losing several key players from the previous season, including Ryan Nembhard, Nolan Hickman, and Khalif Battle, all of whom contributed significantly last year. The Bulldogs are eager to see how Miller performs alongside their existing roster in the upcoming season.
