The New York Knicks are in search of a new head coach following the firing of Tom Thibodeau last week. Thibodeau had previously led the team to its first Eastern Conference finals appearance since the 1999-2000 season under Jeff Van Gundy.

The Knicks have requested permission to interview:
- Ime Udoka (Houston Rockets)
- Chris Finch (Minnesota Timberwolves)
However, both requests were denied by the respective teams’ front offices.
