Making Waves for Autism: Kim Inglis’ Paddling Challenge

Making Waves for Autism: Kim Inglis' Paddling Challenge

Kim Inglis is paddling 365 kilometers in her surf ski on Okanagan Lake throughout the month of May as part of her second annual Making Waves for Autism fundraising event.

Honoring a Legacy

The event was launched on May 1 to honor Inglis’ late cousin, Tyler, a passionate autism advocate who passed away last year. Tyler’s advocacy efforts were driven by his young son with autism, Ryder. Inglis has taken over as an advocate in honor of both Tyler and Ryder.

Fundraising Goals

This year, Inglis aims to raise $50,000 for Autism Canada’s Community Assistance Program. This program supports families affected by autism by speeding up access to essential services such as therapy and support groups.

Previous Success

Last year, Inglis successfully raised $46,000 as the sole participant in this fundraiser she created. "I’m thrilled to be taking part in this challenge again," she said.

How to Participate

Anyone can participate by joining individual or team challenges across Canada or by donating directly through the Making Waves for Autism website.
