Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. returned to the diamond on Tuesday, taking the field for the first time in nearly nine months.

Recovery Journey
Acuña’s return marks a significant milestone in his recovery from a torn right anterior cruciate ligament, which he suffered during a game against Pittsburgh last May. He had been working out at CoolToday Park in North Port, Florida, but this was his first live-action appearance since the injury on May 26.
Gradual Return to Play
According to standard procedure for players returning from injuries during spring training, Acuña will gradually increase his workload over time. He left the game after six innings as part of this plan.
Looking Ahead
The Braves are expected to have Acuña back with them by Opening Day next month and are optimistic about what he can bring to their lineup once he returns fully healthy.
