Tesla's Vice President of Optimus Robotics Departs After Nearly a Decade

Milan Kovac, the vice president of Optimus Robotics at Tesla, has left the company after nearly a decade. Kovac joined Tesla in 2016 and reported directly to CEO Elon Musk.

In a statement, Kovac expressed gratitude towards Musk for his trust and teachings during their time working together at the electric vehicle manufacturer. He stated, "I want to thank Elon for his trust and teachings."

Kovac’s departure comes as Tesla continues to develop its Optimus humanoid robot. The company plans to sell the robot as a bipedal, intelligent machine capable of performing various tasks by 2025 or later.

Tesla aims to deploy robots doing useful work across its factories beyond just assembly lines once they become more advanced.
