Toronto Police Seek Suspects in Distraction Theft Cases

Toronto Police are searching for five suspects linked to multiple distraction theft and fraud cases across the city. Between October 9, 2024, and February 28, 2025, there were five reported incidents involving distraction theft and fraud.

Modus Operandi

In each case, the suspects approached elderly victims while they were using ATMs. The victims reported being approached by one of four individuals who pretended to be lost tourists or asked for help with their phones.
