Wardley Delivers Stunning Knockout to Huni in Ipswich

Fabio Wardley’s 30-year-old career reached new heights when he delivered a stunning one-punch knockout to stop Justis Huni in the 10th round at Portman Road in Ipswich. The dramatic finish sent a rain-soaked crowd of around 20,000 into raptures.

Backed by his vocal home crowd, Wardley struggled to find his rhythm and pin down the slicker, sharper Huni. Behind on the scorecards and facing defeat by the Australian heavyweight contender, all it took was a single punch to turn things around for Wardley.

The decisive blow came when Wardley landed a thunderous right hand on Huni’s chin, sending him crashing to the canvas. Promoter Frank Warren remarked, "Eat your heart out Deontay Wilder," after witnessing Wardley’s incredible performance against Australia’s top-ranked heavyweight contender, adding, "That was Deontay Wilder moments."

Wardley’s victory marked his 18th knockout in 19 professional wins and moved him one step closer to a world title shot. He is now ranked number one by the World Boxing Association (WBA) and is well-positioned for a shot at global honors.

Huni suffered his first professional defeat after consecutive wins. He reflected, "My curse. Even told people before this fight it only takes second switch off — happened tonight."

The outdoor fight at Portman Road came with its risks, as heavy rain fell throughout the evening, but ultimately proved an unforgettable experience for both fighters and spectators alike.
